International Internet Day

On October 29, 1969, the first message was transmitted over ARPANET, the precursor to today’s Internet.

‍

It was actually supposed to be the word “LOGIN.” But after just two letters, the receiving system crashed. What began with two letters has evolved into a global network that connects billions of people.

‍

Modern processes are almost unimaginable without the Internet. Within milliseconds, massive amounts of data are transmitted around the globe. Data centers play a crucial role in this process. They form an essential part of the technical infrastructure of our digital world: they are what make websites, apps, social media, emails, and countless other Internet services possible.

‍

Internet components - such as routers, modems for fiber-optic or DSL connections, and the provider’s technology - as well as data centers all require an uninterruptible power supply to ensure reliable, low-latency operations. Even brief power outages or critical voltage fluctuations can have significant consequences.

‍

Since 1964, FRERK Aggregatebau GmbH has been providing reliable power solutions. Just as the Internet has evolved over the decades, we have continuously developed our expertise and adapted our solutions to meet the changing demands of data center infrastructure.

‍

Our integrated, coordinated solutions - combining uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and emergency power systems - ensure that the infrastructure supporting our connected world remains operational
