The Middle Ages ended long before the invention of electricity. Accordingly, authentic medieval festivals featuring jousting tournaments, LARPing, and medieval markets with jugglers, fire shows, and music rely on the atmospheric glow of wood fires, torches, and candlelight.

The recent tournament days in Eystrup were exactly that kind of event: organized by the fantastic Agesthorp association, visitors were able to soak up this very special atmosphere for three days.

In the here and now, however, events must comply with safety and hygiene regulations—from refrigeration and emergency lighting to water hygiene. To meet these requirements, just as at the inaugural event last year, a 40 kVA standard genset was used discreetly in the background for the entire three-day duration:
