10 Years – “You always meet twice in life” – that's how it happened for Lars Hetebrink
Right after starting his career, Lars worked for an electrical installation company before joining FRERK Aggregatebau GmbH. In 2011, he was hired permanently: five years in electrical production and another four as an electrical assembly manager. After a break, Lars returned to FRERK in 2015 as a master electrician. He ensures that (emergency) generators, backup power systems, and all relevant electrical components are commissioned and tested under real-world or extreme conditions in the test field before being installed at the customer's site.
What makes this job so attractive for Lars is the entire spectrum of generator manufacturing. Lars and his colleagues work across the broad range of tasks, from production and assembly to commissioning and after-sales service. Every project is different. New control systems and varying voltage levels in the low- and medium-voltage range present exciting challenges. Because FRERK operates globally, things never become routine. It's always essential to proactively consider the respective national regulations. Lars really enjoys this change of pace.
