These are your tasks
What you will be working on: In this newly created position, you will take on a central role in establishing strategic purchasing, developing sustainable procurement strategies, and laying the foundations for a future-oriented purchasing organization.
- Establishing and further developing strategic purchasing
- Developing and implementing commodity group and procurement strategies
- Introducing purchasing processes, standards, and key performance indicators
- Analyzing national and international procurement markets
- Identifying and implementing cost optimization and savings potential
- Building a supplier management system, including evaluation and development
- Independently conducting price, contract, and terms negotiations
- Advising departments on strategic procurement issues
- Working closely with production, engineering, sales, quality assurance, and logistics
You should bring that with you
- Successfully completed degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business administration
- Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing within a manufacturing company
- Experience in supplier and contract management
- Knowledge of building or further developing purchasing organizations, processes, and commodity group strategies
- Proficiency in ERP systems and standard MS Office applications
- Very good written and spoken German skills (C1)
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong negotiation skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and assertiveness
- Self-initiative to build structures and actively implement change
- Willingness to travel
